As one who holds a Doctorate in political science, holds office within a politically oriented committee and who has had prior experience with the function of administration - I believe I am well qualified to call myself a "politician". A politician, as seen above, does not need to be elected as you stated in your ignorance.
---Truth be told, GIT does not hold a doctoral degree, nor does he have any political experience. His place of employment, at the time of this writing, is a middle school (assuming he was telling the truth THIS time).
